Act Now, Change Forever - Westminster, Wednesday 9 July

On Wednesday 9 July, thousands of us are heading for Parliament for a unique and important day, and we need you with us!

Watch this video to see why you must join us!

We're making this journey together because our decision-makers need to take urgent action on the climate crisis and its devastating impact on the world’s poorest countries, made worse by an escalating debt crisis.

This Jubilee year, Pope Francis called for urgent action on these crises, a call reinforced by Pope Leo. As we take this important message to our elected representatives, we are honouring his legacy.

Events last all day, and you can come for as much or little as you like. When you register, you'll be given a time to meet your MP, which will take about an hour. There’ll be other activities throughout the day for those who wish to take part.

Our briefing for your MP meeting on debt and climate

The mass lobby is a unique opportunity for Catholics across the country to ask their MPs to urgently take action to tackle the entwined crises of unjust debt and climate change.

Another heartfelt appeal that I would make in light of the coming Jubilee is directed to the more affluent nations. I ask that they acknowledge the gravity of so many of their past decisions and determine to forgive the debts of countries that will never be able to repay them. More than a question of generosity, this is a matter of justice.
POPE FRANCIS, JUNE 2024
